Jerome (Max Minghella) is slogging through his last uneventful years of high school and his only distinguishing talent seems to be his art. He hasn’t made plans beyond graduation, which rapidly changes when he sees a beautiful woman on an art school brochure. He finds he is ill-fitted to this life as well. His roommates are losers as is Bardo (Joel Moore), a long-timer at the school who seems to change majors more than his clothes and who sees himself as a mentor to the freshman, but who dispenses bad advise with every conversation. In addition to his desire to be a great artist, Jerome is still looking for the model on the brochure whom he sees as his muse. Campus life is made more complicated by a serial killer who appears to be stalking women in the neighborhood around the school.
